OUR VALUES

We are a Safe Space for the LGBTQIA+ community. We celebrate our guests from all walks of life, especially women of color, as this is a queer woman of color owned and operated business.

Black Lives Matter.

We host all sorts of community events at Viva, like open mics, cup sleeve events, book club meetings, art shows, and so much more. Want to try some of our teas for free? Join our monthly community cuppings hosted by tea experts! Learn more about our community involvement.

Our stores reflect the diverse communities that we operate in. The art we showcase is curated through our BIPOC Artist of the Month Program. We take inspiration from any historical or architectural significance that our building may have. Although we use very distinctive colors in our branding, we try not to overwhelm the senses and use functional and minimalist design in our stores.

WHY IT MATTERS TO US

We teamed up with the SistersWe to create a
beautiful
living garden wall just down the block from our store. You can also check out the incredible Music Changing Lives BLM mural across
from the garden wall.

We are actively trying to revitalize this neighborhood rather than gentrify it. Check out this article to understand our approach, or shoot us an email at hello@vivalaboba.com with any questions. We are always willing to discuss this subject!

Viva La Boba acknowledges that the land on which our facilities are sited is the ancestral and unceded territory of the Maara'yam, commonly referred to as the Serrano people, which, in the contemporary era, are represented by two federally recognized tribes: the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and the Morongo Band of Mission Indians.
